Torent sat in the park, watching the birds. He was facinated by them, and almost awed. He wondered why they wanted to fly. It seemed odd that they wouldn't want to walk on the ground, say, like a cat. He honestly wanted to chase them, like he used to, but that would seem odd, and he already got enough stares as it was. He decided that he was content enough t find a tree and lie under it, watching those amazing creatures.

Jenny passed by Torent in the park. He hung out with the Cat Club a lot. "Hey Torent," she said as she stood near the tree. He was watching the birds. Jenny looked up at them. She hoped she could change back soon. Birds were her favorite thing to have for breakfast.

"Hey Jenny! How have you been?"He smiled up at her. He had talked to her sometimes, and he wanted to get to know her alittle better."Take a seat. How's the Captin?" He saw her looking up at the birds, and figured that she was waiting for lunch. It was funny. He had never eaten a bird. Unless it was already dead. He didn't like the idea of killing birds. It seemed unnatural.

Jenny smiled and sat down next to him. "Captain Tinker's okay, I guess. And I'm okay. How've you been since the uh," she looked for the right word, "since the change?" Jenny knew Torent was an orphan and had had a rough life so far. She knew what it was like, and she wanted him to feel welcome.

Torent moved over to give her more room. He felt, different being this close. "I'm glad he's okay." He pondered over her question for a moment. He felt odd, but not out of place. "I feel different, I guess, but I still do the same things. I still go ot for my morning walk. I still eat at the same restaraunt for lunch, although I go in through the door, intead of the floor." He smiled at the rhyme. "I'm still the same person. How are you faring though? It must have been a change, you having a human look after you. Does the Captain know?"

Jenny nodded. "The Captain really understands. He recognized me, even if I hadn't been wearing my scarf, he would've known. I'm sure of it. He did take it a little roughly at first, since he doesn't like living with other people, but I'm not exactly a person, am I." She grinned. "I didn't- don't want him to feel uncomfortable, you know? So I stay out more, don't go there as much. As much as I used to," she explained.

Torent smiled at her. He got it. The captain was starting to sound like him. "He accepts you though, right? I'm amazed. He sounds almost cat-like!" He grinned at her. She was so friendly, and kind. "Do you still meet with the Cat Club? I miss it alot. Atleast there we're all...different. "

Jenny looked down. Her hair fell around her face. The Cat Club brought back painful memories. "Well, I'm not sure where the other members are. Most of them ran away because of their owners. I hope I find them soon. It's not the same without them."

Torent touched her shoulder."I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. It's painful for us too." He shook his head. He really needed to watch his words. "If you want help finding them, well, you have another set of pa-hands right here."

Jenny smiled. "Thanks." Then she paused and turned to look at him. "Did you say us? Wh- there's someone else?" Whoa, she thought. Those scientists must have been really busy. How many other cats were changed? She couldn't think about it. "Who's the other one?"

Torent looked startled. He didn't realize that he had sliped. "Well...my sister. She wasn't at the Cat Club picnic because she was sick. Remember me telling you that I had to leave early? Yeah, because of her. After the change I went to find her, and she was outside our 'home'. I don't like talking about her... Sorry..." He put his head down, shamed.

Jenny shook her head. "There's nothing to be sorry about." She thought about asking for his sister's name, then changed her mind. He had said he didn't like talking about her. And yet... "What's her name? I mean-" Jenny paused. "Do you still-" Wow, she thought. This is actually pretty hard. "Yeah so, what's her name?" She scolded herself inwardly.

Torent looked up. Seeing her smile gave him alittle hope."Thanks. Yeah we still talk. We still live together. We have to. We're all each other has. Her name's... Terratarina Tsunami, or Terra for short. Do you know her?"

Jenny thought quickly. "No, I- I don't think I know her. Or maybe I have. Does she look like you?" Jenny tilted her head. "Because I saw a girl who looked like you a little."

It was a bird day. Definite bird day. And they chirped. A lot. It'd been annoying earlier when he'd been asleep, but now, Blaise didn't mind so much as he strolled lazily through the green floiage. He was drifting about the park, taking in the leafy depths, when a spot of red entered his line of sight. His eyes narrowed to examine. It was a scarf. A red scarf. Attached to none other than that Jenny chick he met yesterday. He dashed across the lawn and stopped short, realizing that she wasn't alone. Unfortunately, he paused on the slope of a hill, and tumbled forward, toward the couple.
